NEW! Home "Farm"acy Cabinet
Health is wealth, as the saying goes. And as I get older, I reflect more and more on this truth! This combination of products from Cornerstone Tea is a great way to bring the systems of naturally-based wellness you already have to the next level. Seeing all my friends, especially those with children, talk about how their little ones are sick and it’s burning through the household breaks my heart. And while I know not everything can be solved naturally, by golly, the natural stuff doesn’t hurt to have!
All of these mixes have their full ingredients and instructions for preparation on their labels, but they are summarized here.
We at Cornerstone Tea are not medical professionals, or suggesting these mixes are replacements for advice from a qualified medical professional. These remedies are well studied, widely used, contain things likely already in your kitchen, and are generally considered safe in reasonable serving sizes. The only thing Steph can think of being even potentially an issue, aside from an outright allergy to an ingredient, is if you are on blood thinners or undergoing surgery, too much turmeric can impact clotting factors if overconsumed. So check with your doctor/dentist if you have any concerns!
While these remedies are generally considered safe for pregnancy and nursing when used occasionally and modestly, ask your doctor if you have any questions!
❤️ Cornerstone’s Elderberry Syrup/Tincture blend is the best way to make the well-known and widely used remedy. Instead of a mystery liquid off a store shelf with dyes, cheap sugar, preservatives, and low medicinal impact, this blend combines organic elderberries with the powerhouses of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and star anise (the central compounds in star anise, fun fact, is one of the main ingredients in TamiFlu!) You can make it as a syrup in under an hour with water, or steep the bag’s contents in cheap clear liquor for a tincture (which can extract more benefits from the ingredients than water, overall.) Whichever method you use, the resulting liquid will become a staple in your household! Dosage and age restrictions to consumption detailed on the bag.
Ingredients: elderberries (sambucus nigra), cinnamon, ginger, clove, star anise
❤️ Cornerstone’s Golden Milk mix is wonderful as a “rescue remedy”. If you feel something sick-y coming on, Golden Milk is packed with all manner of tasty and healthful spices like turmeric, ginger, and more! Use it alongside your favorite chicken noodle soup to ward off what ails you.
Ingredients: turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, clove, cardamom, star anise, black pepper
❤️ Cornerstone’s Fire Cider blend is based off of the recipe Rosemary Gladstar, a famous herbalist, published years ago. With the addition of oranges for both flavor and Vitamin C, and with the spicy parts of horseradish powder and red pepper flakes packed separately for you to amend the batch at will, this powerful remedy comes across like the devil’s Bloody Mary, haha! Simply apply all ingredients to a glass jar, cover with apple cider vinegar (with the Mother!) and a lid, and let sit for about a month in a cool dark place, shaking occasionally. Strain out the solids, add ample raw local honey, and consume a shot a day for well-documented benefits to hair, skin, immunity, liver health, detox, digestion, and so much more! Steph also uses it as a stimulating base for salad dressings, as a way to sneak it in!
Ingredients: ginger*, turmeric*, cinnamon*, rosemary*, orange*, lemon*, onion*, garlic*, hot pepper flakes* (baggie), horseradish powder* (baggie)
❤️ NEW! Available only in this bundle, Throat Comfort Honey Infusion Blend is designed to soothe the throat and voice. By applying the dried herbs to slightly less than a pint jar of honey (slightly less than 2 cups), and allowing to infuse, the benefits of the herbs are imparted to the already beneficial honey! It is STRONGLY recommended you use LOCAL and RAW (unpasteurized) honey for the most benefits - this ensures the beneficial bacteria which makes honey so potently healthy are preserved through the processing. Make it a habit to turn the jar over each day to ensure the herbs are contacting the honey. The infusion process takes a minimum of 1 week, but you can let it go for 3-4 weeks or until the flavor is as strong as you want it. From there, simply strain the solids out and enjoy whenever a tickle - or worse - appears in your throat! Also great for strained voices like singers, teachers, and concert goers.
While the instinct might be to add this honey to tea (and I usually support this!), this honey’s medicinal properties are heat sensitive and the flavors might clash with your tea. Best enjoyed by the spoonful!
Ingredients: elderflower, lemon peel, marshmallow, ginger, thyme, sage (thyme and sage in culinary amounts, which is safe for pregnancy)
❤️ NEW! Peace and Calm Honey Infusion Blend, FREE when you buy the QUART sized version of this bundle, but not available anywhere else. The honey infusion created from this blend is the perfect addition to your evening calming cup. It has herbs well-known for their reduction of anxiety, sleeplessness, and that “frazzled” feeling. Simply infuse like the Throat Comfort Honey Blend!
Ingredients: chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, oat straw, tulsi
Addendum, yes, I know the product image is AI, don’t come for me 😂
